The 114PN retains the core pressure, cannulation, heating and vessel-tracking workflow of the 114P while omitting the force transducer and associated positioning mechanism.

System overview

A simplified 114P-based platform for pressure and diameter endpoints

A small intact artery or vein is mounted onto two cannulas and pressurized to the required transmural pressure. This preserves tubular vessel geometry while allowing diameter, lumen, wall dimensions and pressure-dependent responses to be monitored.

Compared with the 114P, the 114PN removes longitudinal force measurement. It is therefore suited to experiments where vessel diameter, wall structure, pressure response or flow-related function are the relevant endpoints.

Constant pressure Maintain controlled transmural pressure from 0 to 250 mmHg.
Optional luminal flow Add FlowMeter – 162FM for flow measurements from 15 to 4,000 µL/min.
Optical base window Visualize the mounted vessel and support live diameter tracking.
XYZ alignment Position the cannulated vessel for reliable visualization and edge detection.

Cannula-based chamber without longitudinal force measurement

The 114PN chamber is designed for mounting pressurized vessels between two cannulas. Integrated pressure transducers, XYZ alignment and an optical base window support controlled pressure, visualization and flow-related studies.

Mounting Glass or compatible stainless-steel cannulas for vessels above 40 µm.
Alignment X, Y and Z positioning with 0.01 mm micrometer resolution.
Pressure monitoring In-line inlet and outlet pressure transducers.
Force endpoint No longitudinal force transducer in the 114PN configuration.
