At Danish Myo Technology (DMT), we are driven by a single mission… to empower scientists with the most precise and reliable tools for studying vascular and smooth muscle physiology. For over four decades, we have combined innovation, engineering excellence, and scientific insight to create solutions that push the boundaries of microvascular research.

Our Story

DMT’s roots trace back to the late 1970s, when pioneering researchers Dr. Michael John Mulvany and Dr. William Halpern introduced a groundbreaking in vitro technique for studying small resistance arteries. This innovation led to the development of the first myograph system, designed in collaboration with toolmaker John Pedersen. Today, that legacy continues as we deliver advanced systems trusted by researchers in more than 1,000 universities and institutions across 79 countries, contributing to over 20,000 peer-reviewed publications.

Having tried other systems and Danish Myo Technology pressure myographs I must say that I clearly prefer the DMT system. Both systems are easy to handle manually, however on the analysis side, the DMT system is superior. ​

Easy to set-up, use and maintain the myographs have given us many years of trouble free operation. On occasion we have sent some of our older models back to Denmark for service/repair and been impressed by the prompt attention and speedy turn-around time. 

The myographs have been a productive and essential part of our in vitro pharmacology laboratory.
