Why choose MyoVIEW 5

Gain deeper insight into pressure-diameter relationships

MyoVIEW is designed for researchers who need synchronized vessel imaging, pressure-myograph readouts and quantitative vascular analysis within one experimental workspace.

01

Real-time diameter tracking

Track lumen and vessel diameter continuously as pressure, flow or pharmacological conditions change.

02

Advanced edge detection

Use coarse and fine edge-detection controls across up to four user-defined zones for reliable averaged measurements.

03

Comprehensive vascular metrics

Calculate wall structure, stress, strain, myogenic tone, pressure-diameter relationships and structure ratios.

04

Pressure and flow integration

Combine vessel diameter with pressure readouts and optional flow, shear-stress and resistance measurements.

05

Flexible workspace

Organize and save the software layout according to the traces, images and parameters required by the protocol.

06

Practical data handling

Use built-in calculations, custom functions, experiment markers and export tools for further analysis.

Software overview

Live vessel imaging and pressure-myograph data in one synchronized trace

MyoVIEW pairs the live camera image with edge-detection algorithms and pressure-interface data so vessel geometry, pressure and derived vascular parameters are recorded together.

Researchers can monitor the preparation during the experiment, adjust tracking thresholds, add trace markers and review calculated responses without moving between separate software environments.

Live camera image Observe vessel position, lumen boundaries and tracking zones throughout the experiment.
Camera calibration Calibrate magnification using a stage micrometer and define the image scale in µm per pixel.
Pressure-interface panel Monitor pressure and relevant system parameters from the DMT pressure interface.
Manual tracking option Use manual measurement tools where automatic edge detection is not appropriate for the image conditions.
Software views

Tracking, acquisition and analysis in a configurable workspace

MyoVIEW supports both live experiment monitoring and subsequent review of vessel dimensions, pressure-related readouts and derived vascular parameters.

MyoVIEW live tracking workspace

Live tracking and acquisition

Monitor vessel dimensions, tracking zones, pressure-related readouts and experimental traces while the protocol is running.

MyoVIEW vascular data analysis workspace

Analysis and data handling

Review, calculate and export measurements for pressure-diameter, vascular-response and optional flow-related studies.

Live tracking workflow

From camera calibration to vascular-response analysis

MyoVIEW brings the principal pressure-myograph imaging and data steps together in one repeatable software workflow.

Calibrate the image Calibrate the camera against a stage micrometer and repeat the calibration whenever magnification changes.
Position tracking zones Place up to four zones across the vessel image according to the preparation and measurement objective.
Adjust edge detection Tune inner and outer thresholds and diameter settings against the live camera image.
Run the experiment Record vessel dimensions, pressure and experimental traces as pressure, flow or drug conditions change.
Analyze and export Review calculated parameters, create custom functions and export the required data for reporting or further analysis.
Applications

Pressure, flow and pharmacological vascular studies

MyoVIEW is intended for pressure-myograph experiments where vessel diameter must be interpreted together with controlled pressure, optional flow and pharmacological exposure.

The software is relevant for functional, structural and mechanistic studies of intact tubular preparations.

Pressure-diameter studies Myogenic tone Vascular reactivity Flow-mediated responses Wall mechanics Drug-response studies Vascular remodeling
01

Pressure-diameter relationships

Characterize vessel compliance, distensibility and structural response across controlled pressure steps.

02

Myogenic tone and reactivity

Track active diameter responses during changes in pressure, flow and pharmacological conditions.

03

Wall mechanics

Calculate wall thickness, wall stress, strain, vessel area and media-to-lumen relationships.

04

Flow-mediated studies

Combine MyoVIEW with a compatible FlowMeter configuration for flow, shear-stress and vascular-resistance measurements.

05

Drug-response protocols

Follow diameter and pressure responses during agonist, antagonist and treatment protocols.

Measurements

Live and derived vascular parameters

MyoVIEW supports geometry, pressure and optional flow-related measurements used in pressure-myograph research.

Flow, shear stress and vascular resistance require a compatible flow configuration. Temperature and longitudinal force depend on the connected pressure-myograph setup.
Wall structure Left wall thickness, right wall thickness and average wall thickness.
Diameter Live-tracked outer diameter and inner lumen diameter.
Area measurements Vessel area, lumen area and calculated cross-sectional area.
Pressure readouts Inlet pressure, outlet pressure and calculated mean pressure.
Structure ratio Media-to-lumen ratio for assessment of vessel structure and remodeling.
Mechanical parameters Wall stress, circumferential strain and custom dynamic calculation traces.
Optional flow parameters Flow rate, shear stress and vascular resistance with a compatible flow setup.
Additional system values Temperature and longitudinal force where supported by the connected pressure-myograph system.
Software capabilities

Intelligent tools for precise vascular tracking and analysis

MyoVIEW combines image-based vessel measurement, pressure-myograph readouts and customizable analysis tools.

Multi-zone edge detection

Use up to four tracking zones to generate averaged diameter measurements across selected vessel locations.

Coarse and fine controls

Adjust outer and inner thresholds and diameter limits according to image contrast and vessel-wall appearance.

Live camera calibration

Define magnification and µm-per-pixel scaling using width- or height-based stage-micrometer calibration.

Manual measurement tools

Use manual tracking when automatic edge detection is not suitable for the preparation or image quality.

Custom functions

Build calculated traces for parameters such as circumferential stress and strain.

Sequencer

Support automated multi-step pressure or experiment protocols through the software sequencer.

Experiment markers

Add markers to live traces to document pressure changes, compound additions and experimental events.

Saveable layouts

Organize the workspace around the required camera, trace and parameter views and save the configuration for reuse.
