Multi Myograph System – 620M

4-channel wire myography for high-throughput vascular reactivity studies

The DMT 620M is a robust four-channel wire myograph for in vitro studies of vascular structure and function. It supports isometric contraction and relaxation studies using small arteries, larger vessels and a broad range of tissue ring preparations.

Why choose 620M

A trusted platform for reproducible vascular pharmacology and physiology

The 620M is designed for laboratories that need a flexible, durable and practical wire myograph for concentration-response curves, compound testing and parallel studies of individual vessel segments.

01

High-throughput 4-channel design

Four chambers allow vessels or tissue rings to be studied simultaneously, supporting repetitive concentration-response protocols and treatment-control comparisons.

02

Small and larger ring preparations

Jaw and pin mounts support work with small vessels as well as larger ring segments, providing flexibility across different tissues and experimental protocols.

03

Controlled chamber conditions

Built-in heating, individual gas inflow and chamber drainage help maintain stable experimental conditions across all four channels.

04

Manual normalization workflow

Passive length-tension relationships can be determined following mounting and equilibration to improve consistency between vessel segments and experiments.

05

Direct data communication

The interface provides calibration functions, analogue output channels and USB communication for compatible DMT acquisition workflows.

06

Expandable laboratory setup

Multiple 620M systems can be arranged side by side, particularly when combined with the Buffer Filler System – 625FS for expanded experimental capacity.

System overview

Classic wire myography with four individually controlled chambers

Each 620M myograph unit has a centrally positioned, acid-resistant stainless-steel chamber. Tissue supports, either jaws or pins, are located inside the chamber with one side attached to the force transducer and the other to a precision micrometer.

During experiments, compounds can be added directly to the individual baths while contraction and relaxation are measured under isometric conditions.

Four independent chambers Run parallel vessel or tissue ring studies in separated baths.
Jaw and pin mounting Select the mounting approach according to vessel size, tissue type and protocol.
Integrated control Maintain chamber temperature, gassing and drainage through the shared interface.
Manual normalization Standardize passive length-tension conditions before active experimental protocols.
Applications

Vascular physiology and pharmacological tissue reactivity

The 620M is suited to studies of vascular contraction, relaxation and reactivity in small arteries, larger vessels and other ring-mounted preparations.

Its four-chamber format supports concentration-response protocols, compound testing and experiments where individual preparations need to be studied in separate baths.

01

Vascular contraction and relaxation

Measure active force development and relaxation under controlled isometric conditions.

02

Concentration-response studies

Run repeated pharmacological protocols across four independent experimental chambers.

03

Small-artery research

Support ring-mounted small-vessel preparations using the appropriate jaw mounting configuration.

04

Larger vessels and tissue rings

Study aorta, carotid artery, trachea, intestine, bladder and related ring-mounted tissue preparations.

System components

Integrated hardware for chamber control and force measurement

The 620M workflow combines four myograph chamber units with the shared Multi Interface for environmental control, calibration and communication with the selected data-acquisition setup.
