Wire Myograph Installation at Auburn University
Installation of a DMT Wire Myograph System and Buffer Filler System in Casey G. Turner, PhD’s laboratory at Auburn University.
DMT’s service team recently visited Casey G. Turner, PhD’s laboratory at Auburn University to install a DMT Wire Myograph System and Buffer Filler System and help the research team get started with the new setup.
More than getting equipment onto the bench
A successful installation is not only about assembling and connecting a new research system. It is also about helping researchers become comfortable with the equipment, understand the workflow and know how the system fits into their day-to-day experimental work.
During the Auburn University visit, the DMT service team supported the laboratory through system setup and practical orientation so the researchers could begin using the new wire myograph workflow with greater confidence.
Hands-on installation support helps connect the instrument, workflow and research team from the start.
Supporting wire myography workflows
Wire myography is used to measure isometric force in isolated vessel and tissue preparations under controlled laboratory conditions. The approach allows researchers to investigate contraction, relaxation and functional responses while maintaining direct control over the experimental environment.
System installation
Practical setup of the DMT Wire Myograph System, including connections, chambers and laboratory configuration.
Buffer Filler integration
Integration of the Buffer Filler System to support efficient fluid handling across the laboratory’s wire myograph workflow.
Hands-on orientation
Practical guidance designed to help researchers understand the system, workflow and routine operating considerations.
Ready for research
A completed installation focused on helping the Auburn team move confidently from equipment setup toward experimental use.
Why onsite support matters
The details of mounting, tissue handling, system preparation and day-to-day operation can all influence the consistency of a wire myography workflow. Working directly with the laboratory during installation gives researchers an opportunity to ask practical questions and become familiar with the system in the environment where it will actually be used.
That hands-on support is an important part of DMT installations and helps research teams build a strong foundation before routine experiments begin.
