This is part of DMT’s line of precision instruments for vascular and smooth muscle research. Built on decades of engineering and physiological expertise, the myograph provides researchers with a stable, high-resolution platform for assessing vascular structure and function under controlled conditions. Its design supports reproducible measurements of vessel reactivity, tone, and mechanics - making it a standard tool in both basic and applied vascular studies.
The Wire Myograph System - 320A provides exceptional precision for studying small blood vessels ranging from 30 μm to 3 mm in diameter. Each vessel segment is mounted as a ring on fine stainless-steel wires - one adjusted by a micrometer for precise stretching, the other connected to a high-sensitivity force transducer that detects even the smallest changes in tension. A compact 10 mL chamber ensures optimal experimental stability, featuring acid-resistant materials, integrated temperature control, and dedicated ports for oxygenation and solution exchange. An optical window allows clear, real-time visualization throughout the experiment. The system is operated via an intuitive touchscreen interface and data can be streamed direct via MyoDAQ Acquisition software.
