The Wire Myograph System - 320A is a high-precision platform designed for functional analysis of small blood vessels ranging from 30 μm to 3 mm in diameter. Vessels are mounted as ring preparations on fine stainless-steel wires - one connected to a manual micrometer for precise stretch control, the other to a sensitive force transducer for accurate isometric tension measurement.
The system features a 10 mL acid-resistant, temperature-controlled chamber equipped with ports for oxygenation, suction, and fluid exchange. A built-in optical window enables real-time imaging and monitoring. Control is intuitive via a touchscreen interface and MyoDAQ software, supporting multi-channel data acquisition and optional automated fluid handling. Engineered for long-duration studies, the 320A maintains vessel viability for up to 12 hours, making it ideal for contractility and pharmacological research.
