NEW IMPROVED MyoVIew II
MyoVIEW II is a new highly improved updated software of DMT's first Pressure Myograph data acquisition software. MyoVIEW II is to be used in conjunction with DMT pressure myograph systems and is compatible with the 110P, 110PXL, 115FP, 120CP, 202CM, and 204CM lines of pressure and culture myographs.
The core function of the MoyVIEW II is to acquire diameter measurements from pressurized vessels. Flow measurements using the DMT 161FM flowMeter are integrated into this single software package. Other pertinent vascular-related data can be easily obtained in MyoVIEW II without having to manually calculate parameters such as vascular resistance and shear stress.
The MyoVIEW II dimensioning software offers a extreme flexible, powerful acquisition platform with more precise control and enhanced functionality. MyoVIEW II promises to simplify, as well as improve, data acquisition whether the experiments involve using pharmacology, investigating mechanisms related to myogenic responses, or unveiling vasculopathies involving defects in flow- or shear stress-mediated dilation.
FEATURES OF MyoVIEW II
- Multiple imaging windows – allows the measurement of multiple different regions simultaneously.
-
Line-averaging - unlike conventional “edge detection”, where contrast information is evaluated on a single line, MyoVIEW II averages contrast over all of the lines within a user-defined region to minimize the contribution of contrast variances. Images no longer need to be super-saturated or blurred to drown out the contrast from remnants of blood, fat, folding, etc., making diameter measurements easier and more accurate.
- Real-time calculations and tracking of:
o Inner and outer vascular diameters
o Left, right and average wall thickness
o Inner and outer cross-sectional areas
o Media to lumen ratios
o Flow
o Vascular resistance
o Shear stress |

Improvements in MyoVIEW II
- Multiple Imaging Windows – Having the flexibility of measuring multiple different regions of a mounted vessel means that interesting vascular anomalies and variability in a single preparation can be measured and observed.
- Line-Averaging – The new algorithm used for edge detection improves edge tracking, especially in vessels that are harder to completely "clean", decreasing the likelihood of having to "throw away data" because of poor imaging and tracking, thereby increasing productivity.
- Integrated Flow Measurements – Previous flow software was run simultaneously with dimension analysis, making data collection complicated and tedious, having to "flip" between 2 separate program windows to monitor experimental progress. MyoVIEW II has integrated the flow measurement tasks with the dimensioning tasks so that ALL collected pressure myography data are in a single file.
- Trace Recordings – data from previous dimensioning software had to either be recorded by hand or dumped into a tedious Excel sheet. The new Trace Recordings feature allows all measured and calculated parameters to be saved as trace data, simplifying data analysis in the end.
- Data Analysis – data analysis have been improved tremendously in MyoVIEW II. Data of interest is simply marked on traces and transferred to the Data Sheet by a single click
- Data export – All data in the Data Sheet can easily be exported to an Excel file or a comma separated file (csv) by a single operation.
- Event Markers – highly improved Event Markers feature complements the new Trace Recordings feature by allowing the user to more precisely and accurately record events, changes or additions during the experiment, eliminating the need to mark time and events separately.
- Flexible user interface set-up – MyoVIEW II is based on the well known Microsoft user interface making MyoVIEW II easy and intuitive for the user to work with. The user interface can easily be customized to get the optimal layout for the user (see images).
- Requires Windows 7 (32- and 64-bit)
- Minimum 1 GB of RAM
- Pressure Interface with software version 3.30 or later
