The Tissue Bath is intended for simultaneous studies of four isolated tissue ring preparations (diameters 500 µm to 10 mm). The sensitive force transducers allow measurements of isometric muscle tension while micropositioners allow the attraumatic setting of optimal diameter. Each unit has individually controlled gas inflow and suction conduits and chambers are stainless steel for easy cleaning. The system is automatically heated to a given set temperature.

The 750TOBS with its unique heating system (pat. pend.) are used to investigate the physiology and pharmacology of smooth muscle (vascular and non-vascular), skeletal muscle and other tissue preparations. The modular design allows up to four individually mounted tissues to be studied simultaneously and independently per system.
